As you know if you’re from overseas and send a letter to someone you want a reply from you can send international reply coupons which the receiver can swap for stamps. A lovely lady called Diana emailed me to say that a lot of places no longer sell them but there is a way around it.
You can now buy online postage from the Royal Mail. If you have a credit card you can buy postage and print it out and fix it to your envelope which means that the person you’re sending it too can send it back to you with no bother at all.
This is useful if you’re sending autograph requests to actors.
Now as you know Benedict very very rarely responds to fanmail as he just doesn’t have time which is why I don’t have this info on the website (I don’t want people to spend money on postage when their chances of getting a response are slim) but it is helpful to have.
Andrew Scott for example does routinely respond to fanmail - but only if a stamped addressed envelope is included so this would be a great tip for him or indeed any of the Sherlock cast if you’re writing from overseas.

Another Fun Fact: Cheetahs are incredibly nervous animals. One of the (many) reason’s they’re going extinct is that cheetahs are so sensitive and nervous, some of them are literally too nervous to breed. Others will breed, but stress themselves out so much, they’ll lose their cubs.
So zoos with breeding programs had to figure out how to make cheetahs comfortable enough to first of all, get laid and secondly - not spazz themselves into miscarrying.
So what’d they do?
They gave the cheetah’s their very own Service Dogs!
