I find it interesting how dean always flips the blade up - ideal for attacking with an upwards blow, or from below. Cas, however, flips the blade down, ideal for attacking from above or with an overhanded blow. Different fighting styles for different lives; Dean clawing his way up from the bottom, Cas falling from on high.
This breaks my heart because Dean just knows that these smiles are all wrong. They’re broken smiles, from a man who can’t be bothered to keep holding on. And you can see it, in Dean’s eyes - that concern, that confusion - because the angel is supposed to help him believe, help him restore his faith. Somewhere along the line his angel was broken - and I don’t think Dean realized it until it was too late, which is why he is trying so hard to save him.
Months later and I still believe every word I wrote here is true.
Months later and I’m still crying because it’s true
ok so after this scene after everything happened maria did tell natasha that grant said this so grant goes home and natasha’s leaning against his counter all seductive and she flutters her eyelashes at him and goes ‘do you really think i’m pretty?’ and grant is like what. what. but he kind of cautiously says ‘yeah…’ because i mean he can’t exactly say no especially to her and he tries to go around her to get into his kitchen bc he’s REALLY hungry after all that and she grabs his arm and flips him onto his back and breaks both his legs and then just gives this little smirk and leaves after making herself something to eat because beating people up you can really work up an appetite
